Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts extended a helping hand to a Texas family that suffered a tragic loss last weekend.
Hurts reached out to the family of 18-year-old Jarvon Coles after the high school linebacker was gunned down at a house party in Humble, Texas. Hurts attended Channelview High School in Texas, which played against Coles’ school, North Shore H.S. in Houston.
The Eagles QB helped cover Coles’ funeral expenses and sent the family a video message commemorating the young footballer, which was played at the service.
Jarvon Coles’ grandfather spoke about his late grandson’s influence on the group, citing his 4.1 GPA when talking of his distinctive persona.
Coles was discovered with a gunshot wound to the chest in what Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez known as a deliberate concentrating on by one or a number of shooters. The younger soccer participant had attended a home social gathering with greater than 50 folks. Sheriff Gonzalez additionally described the scene as a drive-by capturing.

Houston Mayor John Whitmire, alongside Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, introduced March 16 because the official “Jarvon Coles Day” to maintain the reminiscence of the younger Texas participant robust.
