Scholar rattles off over 900 digits of Pi in competitors

LIMESTONE, Maine (WABI) – Pi Day is an enormous day for the Maine Faculty of Science and Arithmetic in Limestone.

College students tried to recite as many digits of the mathematical fixed as they might, however one stood above the remaining.

For the second 12 months in a row, sophomore Ari Anghel of Windham was the massive winner, rattling off 919 digits of Pi, doubling their quantity from final 12 months!

Neighborhood members have been inspired to pledge donations for every digit, benefiting the MSSM Basis.

They raised about $4,000 this 12 months.
