LYNNWOOD, Wash. — A teenage lady was shot within the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood simply after 6 p.m. on Wednesday. She was taken to an space hospital, the place she later handed away.
She has been recognized as 13-year-old Jayda Woods-Johnson. Her demise is being investigated as a murder.
Lynnwood police say there was an altercation between two teams of teenagers close to the meals court docket space. Police say one male teen pulled out a gun and fired no less than one shot.
Woods-Johnson was not concerned within the altercation and was not a part of both group.
Police say the suspected shooter is a 16-year-old male from Edmonds.
The suspect was introduced into the police station by his mom Wednesday night time the place he turned himself in. Police say he’s being booked for homicide.
