(KRON) — A United Airways flight departing from San Francisco Worldwide Airport to Aspen, Colorado, was delayed for over 17 hours, based on the airline’s web site.
The United flight was initially scheduled to depart SFO to Aspen on Friday, March 23 at 4 p.m. The flight was then delayed for 15 hours attributable to unknown points. After the preliminary 15-hour delay, the flight was then delayed for one more two hours.
Because of current security occasions, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is growing oversight of United Airways to make sure that it’s complying with security rules.
The variety of safety-related occasions in current weeks have rightfully prompted us to pause and consider whether or not there may be something we will and will do in another way. In spite of everything, security is foundational to the success of our airline and we will by no means take it with no consideration.
Sasha Johnson, Vice President of Company Security at United Airways
KRON4 contacted United Airways for extra data on the flight and has not heard again as of this report. Keep tuned for extra updates.
