There have been a number of smaller earthquakes reported in the identical space on Tuesday, together with one measuring 2.8 and one other at 2.5.
“It has been a part of a sequence,” stated Seismologist Dr. Lucy Jones. “There have been a number of earthquakes [Tuesday] in the identical location, the biggest was a magnitude 2.8. I believe there have been a couple of dozen of them. So it seems to be part of a little bit sequence, which is simply saying when one earthquake occurs, one other one is extra doubtless, and principally, they keep small. Like all earthquake, that is going to have a 5% probability of being adopted by one thing greater throughout the subsequent couple of days.”
