Longtime coach John Calipari will return to Kentucky for his sixteenth season, athletic director Mitch Barnhart introduced Tuesday.
“As we usually do on the finish of each season, Coach Calipari and I’ve had conversations in regards to the path of our males’s basketball program and I can affirm that he’ll return for his sixteenth season as our head coach,” Barnhart wrote on X.

Barnhart’s announcement follows hypothesis about Calipari’s future after the Wildcats went 23-10 this season and misplaced within the first spherical of the NCAA Match to No. 14 seed Oakland. Kentucky was seeded at No. 3.
