The Seahawks signed defensive deal with Johnathan Hankins, including a veteran presence to their line of defense.
Hankins, 31, spent final season and a part of the 2022 season with the Cowboys working with present Seahawks defensive coordinator Aden Durde, who spent the previous three seasons as Dallas’ line of defense coach. Final 12 months, Hankins began 14 video games, recording 3.0 sacks, 27 tackles and two passes defensed.
A 2013 second-round pick of Ohio State, Hankins grew to become a starter in his second season with the Giants, and over an 11-year profession with the Giants, Colts, Raiders and Cowboys, he has began 134 of 152 video games performed, recording 403 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 39 tackles for loss, 12 passes defensed, three compelled fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
Hankins will give the Seahawks measurement—he’s listed at 6-foot-2, 320 kilos—and expertise so as to add to a line of defense rotation that’s returning three of its high gamers from final season in Leonard Williams, Dre’Mont Jones and Jarran Reed
