Toronto Blue Jays nearer Jordan Romano underwent arthroscopic surgical procedure on his proper elbow Wednesday and shall be shut down from throwing for one more six weeks. It is not clear whether or not the two-time All-Star will be capable of return this season.
Romano missed a part of spring coaching and the primary 17 video games of the common season due to elbow soreness. He went on the injured checklist for a second time June 1, retroactive to Could 30.
Final Saturday, the Blue Jays mentioned Romano could be shut down due to continued ache in his elbow. The Canadian-born pitcher visited famous surgeon Dr. Keith Meister in Texas on Tuesday. The process was completed to restore an impingement.
As soon as Romano begins a throwing program, doubtless in August, the crew will get a greater sense of whether or not he’ll be capable of return this season.
