FORT WORTH, Texas. (WBRC) – The UAB Blazers are American Athletic Convention champions! Of their first yr as members of the AAC, the Blazers have punched their ticket to the NCAA March Insanity event.
Led by Alejandro Vasquez, who scored a team-high 29-points, the Blazers defeated the Temple Owls 85-69.
In what was a phenominal efficiency within the AAC event, Yaxel Lendeborg, who was the named the ACC Defensive Participant of the 12 months final week, was named because the AAC event MVP.
After successful the AAC event, the Blazers discovered that they are going to be a #12 seed within the East Area of the NCAA event, taking up #5 seed San Diego State.
